Financing your startup in Algeria: who to meet

Funds, banks, public schemes, stock exchange, incubators: an overview of the players who finance and support startups and SMEs in Algeria, and where to meet them.

Pitch & Link startup final at ACF 2026

Finding funding is often a project founder's first challenge. In Algeria, several types of players can step in depending on the project's stage: startup funds, public business creation schemes, banks, the stock market and support structures. Here is an overview of who to approach.

1. Startup funds

The Algerian Startup Fund (ASF) invests in labelled innovative startups. It was at ACF 2026 to meet project founders directly. Prepare a clear pitch: problem, solution, market, team and funding need.

2. Public business creation schemes

ANADE (national agency for entrepreneurship support and development), ANGEM (microcredit) and the national self-employed agency support business creation. These bodies exhibited at ACF: a chance to ask about eligibility conditions.

3. Banks

Public banks such as BNA, CPA, CNEP Banque and BDL offer products for companies and young entrepreneurs. Bring a business plan and financial forecast: they can point you to the right product.

4. The stock exchange for growing SMEs

For more advanced SMEs, the Algiers Stock Exchange and COSOB present the options for raising funds on the financial market. Not a start-up solution, but a prospect worth knowing.

5. Incubators and accelerators

Even before funding, an incubator helps structure the project and opens its network. Find those in the region in our guide to incubators in Annaba and eastern Algeria.

Meet them all in one place

These players gather every year at ACF, at the Sheraton Annaba. The 6th edition takes place 6–8 May 2027, free entry with registration. Startups can also exhibit (stands from 3 m²) or compete in Pitch & Link. All about startups at ACF.
